Register your bicycle with the police
(online at www.torontopolice.on.ca/bike or by phone at 416-808-2222) "Manufacturers mark most bicycles with a serial number. If yours does not have a serial number, engrave an identifying number on the frame. You may wish to put the same number on the wheels and other components."

Hopefully someone will know this - I've seen bikes with 3 sets of numbers down on the bottom bracket (the part that the pedals are attached to) - how does one tell which one is the serial number?

Thanks a lot...for this tip...where R the numbers written and if I sell the bikes to new owners then what is the procedure...or should I avoid registering the bikes since I plan to sell them.
