I plan to cycle up to Finch/Humberline Drive starting from Bloor/Kipling. I'm familiar with as far as Eglinton through the park trails but after that plan to take the old 27 street straight up to Finch.....looks like very few side street options.
Am worried about gravel sides, no cycling lanes (of course, it's Etobicoke - car territory).
I wonder if anyone else is familiar with that route. Maybe students who head up to Humber college near Finch??
Anyone?

From Eglinton I took Martin Grove straight up to a bridge @ Humber River - slid down embankment to cycle trail and up to Humber College Blvd to Humberline Dr.
I followed the lay of the land, kept my nose to the ground like a bloodhound and found my own way.
I rode the sidewalks because of the contemptuous industrial street with no cycle lanes and transports speeding up to merge in highway lanes not caring a whit to stop for a cyclist.
Best advice is to ride against the traffic so you can clearly see the impudent trucks/cars veering at you as they turn off the street.
Voilà!
Take that you dirty car/truck/SUV drivers!
I made it alive in one piece against the odds!
