another long ride - from Islington to Yonge&Lakeshore. I really don't like riding downtown around the streetcar tracks but I felt like a long trek that day. Wish I could find my cycle map. I know I've got one somewhere.
A day at the island, packed a salad, pita, lemon tea....bruised my right palm carrying my bike through the subway. It's coming off the steps - at that junction where I adjust the bike off my shoulder to the ground.....also bruised right thigh....war wounds..
back & forth across the islands.....my first time to see what it's all about....stopped to talk & see the seniors' oil paintings....fluffy white cat trying to walk across the oil paints....chattery scattered ladies....i carried on my way.....the best part is just getting lost in the lake....just take time to see the sea.....the shades of blue, grey, purple, white clouds.....pretty sails.....cycle on the ferry.....freedom....talked with another cyclist about our experiences having our bikes stolen....funny.
